Swimming and Saunas Whilst Pregnant :

The safety of sauna use and wild swimming during pregnancy is unclear. While these activities may offer physical and mental health benefits, contrast therapy (hot sauna/cold water) poses risks such as increased core temperature, changes in blood pressure, dehydration, and fainting. The impact on unborn babies is also not well understood. Review the UK-based articles below, consult your midwife, and research before using a sauna while pregnant. If you choose to swim or use saunas during pregnancy, be aware of the potential risks to you and your baby.
